Born in Turin in 1966, beginned to apply himself on drums from 1978,starting his professional career since 1982 with playing in long tours in Finland,Sweden,Germany and Switzerland. Back to Italy he played with a lot of Musicians, like:
Emanuele Cisi, Riccardo Zegna, Rosario Bonaccorso, Felice Reggio, Barry Vincent, Giampaolo Casati, Alessio Menconi, Arthur Miles, Aldo Rindone, Antonio Santoro, Fulvio Albano, Danila Satragno, Karl Potter (and so on). He played with many Jazz Groups too, before to record, in 1994,the P.M.P (Penna,Mari,Petracca) Trio's first CD " Three Kinds Of One " (Map-Linearecords). With the same Trio he performed in many Jazz Concerts, Clinics and Stages all around in Italy (Torino, Roma, Bologna, Venezia...). He's currently co-leader of the "Penna-Petracca"duet and still collaborate with the " Walkabout "Jazz Group. With this group he recorded the omonymous CD in 1998 (Panastudio Records). He's teacher at the Musical Institute " Città di Rivoli " in Rivoli (Turin) and the Music School " Soliva " in Casale Monferrato (Turin) and manages a drums-percussions school in central Turin too.
